Frequently asked questions
We resolve doubts
General
2. What happens if my daughter/son doesn't want to stay overnight?
The team always encourages parents and children to stay overnight during the entire activity, as this is how you get the full camp experience, which is very special. Sometimes, the first night is difficult, but we always do our best to accommodate them very well. Sometimes, on the 3rd or 4th night, they ask to spend a night outside the space and return. All of these are possible options. If your child doesn’t want to sleep, don’t sign them up to sleep, if they hesitate, encourage them, as they will have a great time. It is important that they know that they will have options: if they want to call home, if they want to come back some night… If they are not signed up, and want to sleep during the camp, they can pay for the nights separately. The only drawback is that we cannot guarantee that there will be places at the moment.
3. What if you don't have any friends to go with?
There are many participants in the Music Camp who have come alone. These brave women (it is true that it is difficult to live in a new place without knowing anyone) have always felt very welcome and, in fact, they are profiles that end up establishing more friendships with more people than those who come accompanied. In addition, many times, the team itself detects that they have more intense and enriching life experiences.
4. What is the difference between signing up for the 1st and 2nd rounds separately or together?
If you sign up for the 1st and 2nd shift in the same package, you have two extra nights (July 11th and 12th). It includes full board and childcare. If you sign up separately, pick up the child on the 11th in the afternoon and return on the 13th in the morning.
5. When does the camp start and end?
We welcome you on the first day between 8:30 and 9:00 (not before). The farewell is when the final show ends, around 7:00 PM on the last day.
6. And for people who don't sleep?
We start the activities at 9:00, and we finish at 19:00 except for the days we go to the beach or on an excursion, when we return at 21:00. On these days, dinners are served. They will be on Sunday, Tuesday and maybe Thursday in the first and second shifts. We will confirm this later.
7. Can parents go and visit them?
Our answer is this: parents cannot visit their children unless the child themselves asks us to see you because they miss you or because they are not feeling well, of course.
8. Can phone calls be made?
Children should know that, whenever they need to, they can call home from the principal’s phone. Normally, in these cases, we do it at night, before or after dinner.
9. How do I know if everything is okay?
We understand the great responsibility that you leave in our hands and that it can be painful not to see your daughters and sons for so long. That is why we have adopted this method of information: we have created a WhatsApp group where we publish some photos of the day and some experiences so that you can keep up with everything we do at the camp.
10. Are the instructors and teachers qualified?
Of course! We take great care of the professionalism of our team, which is duly qualified and has experience in different artistic branches, as well as in the pedagogy of these.
The interns themselves are carefully chosen for their interest in the craft and artistic creation.
You can consult their biographies on this website.
11. Is the activity insured?
Yes, we have two insurance policies, for accidents and for civil liability that cover participants and educators.
12. If my daughter/son has a food intolerance or allergy, will they be able to eat well?
Our cooks are used to cooking for allergies and intolerances. In addition, on the registration form you must inform us if the child has any. If it is a case of celiac disease or some more difficult situation that does not accept cross-contamination, please contact us to study it.
13. What do they eat?
They eat very good and nutritious. After many years of cooking, our menus are specially designed to please. This year there will be 3 different chefs for the 4 camps. You can find HERE (insert menu link) some very special recipes from our main cook. The food is varied and omnivorous, although there is a tendency towards vegetarianism for health, nutritional, ecological and ethical reasons.
14. Can they wash clothes?
One of the workshops we like the most is when we have to wash a T-shirt, some shorts or panties. We fill a couple of tubs, take the “lagarto” tablet and wash! So yes, we can wash clothes.
15. Why have prices increased compared to last year?
At Taller de Músiques we are aware that our activity is more expensive than last year. This is mainly due to two factors: the price of the space where we stay has increased, and we are improving the working conditions of our team since we cannot operate solely with volunteers.
16. How will the inhabitants of Ibiza go to Formentera?
The activity director and a monitor will pick up the children at the Ibiza seaport at around 8:15. Children must pay for their own return ticket (we will specify the time and company). We recommend having the youth card, there is a discount.
Do you have more questions?
Do not hesitate to write to us at tallermusiques@gmail.com. However, between one and two weeks before the Camp, we will hold an in-person/online information meeting that we will convene by email.
